A quick and tasty way to lower your blood pressure

Last week was World Hypertension Day. Unfortunately, this condition affects a wide number of people, especially in their golden years.

For many, high blood pressure is a fact of daily life which they must cope with.

Here is a recipe for a safe and effective cocktail from one of the leaders in preventive medicine, Dr Thierry Hertoghe, also a renowned expert in healthy eating and lifestyle.

Prepare it for yourself or your parents. You will soon correct the values on the tonometer and get rid of headaches.

 

For 3-4 glasses of our “Antihypertension cocktail” use:

2 apples

2 carrots

½ lemon (no need to peel it)

200 grams of dark grapes

1 beetroot

1 centimetre of ginger root

½ avocado

6 ice cubes

 

Juice the apples, carrots, lemon, grapes, beetroot and ginger. Pour the juice into a blender and add avocado and ice. Beat for 30 seconds. 

Serve, enjoy and stay healthy!
